Estimates only, for product-research planning — not a guarantee. Referral fees vary by category (most run ~15%; some, like consumer electronics, are lower). Walmart WFS and Amazon FBA fulfillment fees are set by each marketplace, vary by product size and weight, and change periodically — the figures here are weight-based estimates you can edit; always confirm against Walmart’s and Amazon’s current published fee schedules for your exact product. This tool does not include storage, returns, advertising, or your inbound prep/shipping costs. Prep pricing (Hardway $0.85/unit all-in, $0.65 at volume) is separate from marketplace fulfillment fees. Walmart WFS fee structure (2026 rates)
Walmart charges two fees on every WFS order: a referral fee (a percentage of the sale price, 8–15% by category, most categories 15%) and a fulfillment fee based on shipping weight and dimensions, starting around $3.45 for items under 1 lb and stepping up by weight tier. Storage is billed monthly per cubic foot, with higher rates from October through December. The calculator above applies the current schedule; the rates change roughly once a year and we update the page when they do.
Fees are only half the margin picture. Every unit also has to be labeled, poly-bagged, and boxed to Walmart's inbound spec before WFS accepts it — run that side of the number through our prep cost calculator.
How to read your numbers
Net profit is what’s left after the marketplace referral fee, the fulfillment fee, and your product cost. Margin is net profit as a percentage of the sale price; ROI is net profit as a percentage of your product cost — the number most wholesale and arbitrage sellers screen on (many target 30%+ ROI). Two things this tool leaves out on purpose: long-term storage and returns (varies by product), and your inbound prep and shipping — which is where we come in. Compare your all-in prep cost with our FBA & WFS prep cost calculator, and see the fee differences in our Walmart WFS vs Amazon FBA guide.
